Just Different

There are always exceptions to the rules
But maybe rules were made to be broken
In today's world there are lots of exceptions
Not good
Not bad
Just different
Who decides what's "normal" and what's "different"
Most likely it's part of God's master plan
We may be left questioning God "Why me?"
"Why am I different?
God might reply
"My plan for you includes you being different"
"Your difference will make the world a better place"
"And expose those around you to unique talents and gifts"
Not good
Not bad
Just different
It might be your size
Your brain
An illness
Or the way you view the world
That makes you appear different
Not good
Not bad
Just different
God made us all individuals
You never know when the gifts he entrusted to you might be needed
The level to which we develop our talents lies within us
Not good
Not bad
Just different
We are all different
And the benefit to our world greatly outweighs whatever negatives being different brings

Biography I am 15 year old Junior at Notre Dame High School in Batavia, NY (I am young because I skipped 8th grade). I was diagnosed High Functioning Autistic at the age of 3. I have 3 brothers - and we live with my parents in Batavia. My hobbies are reading and cars and currently I am playing my second season of high school football. Also, I volunteer for the ARC in our community and assist with their Challenger Sports Program its a great organization. I am thinking about a career that involves lots of reading (maybe legal research) and I would love to be an author - so look for me in the years to come! |
We received an overwhelming 5000 stories for this new Chicken Soup for the Soul book. The process of choosing what went into this book was very difficult because there were so many wonderful stories.
